Higher Ground Ministries is a full gospel, inter-denominational, non-traditional ministry, committed to lifting up the name of Jesus, meeting specific needs and refreshing the body of Christ through Spirit-led outreaches and the training of outreach ministers.

The vision of Higher Ground Ministries is to call, train, equip, empower and release outreach ministers to the glory of God. We are committed to identifying and activating a wide variety of ministry gifts for the express purpose of winning the lost to Christ.
 
Pastors Print E-mail
ImagePastors Jim and Jean Brissey are shepherds of Higher Ground Ministries based in DeLand, Florida. Prior to founding Higher Ground Ministries in September of 1999, Jim and Jean served as Associate Pastors at Freedom Ministries Assemblies of God in the inner city of Tampa from 1996 to 1999. Their passion for outreach was born out of the Via de Cristo and Kairos (prison ministry) renewal movements where they have served for the past twenty years. (Jim was rector at Via de Cristo #18 in 1991). Jim and Jean have two grown children, Connie and Jimmy, who serve with them in ministry and five precious grandchildren, Elicia, Gina, Jimmy, David and Joey.
